Welcome Letter

Welcome Letter

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I am delighted to have your child in my class this year.  We can look forward to many exciting and fun experiences as the year progresses.  I am dedicated to making this a productive and terrific year for my students.

You will receive or have access to reports regarding your child’s progress.  All work will be sent home on a regular and timely basis.  Please review the work with your child.  If there is any question about the work please feel free to contact me here at the school.

The classroom discipline plan affords every child the opportunity to manage his/her own behavior.  I will follow the rules and guidelines that are in the student handbook in which all students received.

Homework and long-term assignments will be assigned throughout the school.  Please provide an area for your child to complete their work without any interruptions.  A homework folder has been provided to write all assignments from the chalkboard.  Additionally, I will update my teacher website weekly to show what skills we are working on that week.

I am looking forward to a fun and rewarding year.  As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at thudy@tvsd.org or call 610-286-8660.

***Parents: Please do not ever spend more than 30 minutes on homework.  After 30 minutes of trying please write a note and I will help your child in school the following day.

Thank you,
David Becker
