Q. What does marching band involve?
A. Students learn fun, upbeat music which will be performed at the Elverson and Honey Brook Halloween parades. Students will also learn a patriotic tune to perform in a Memorial Day Parade. The students are taught very basic marching fundamentals and learn how to march in a parade formation while performing one song. All rehearsals for marching band (excluding voluntary drumline rehearsals after-school) are held during the school day.

Q. Does it cost anything to participate in marching band?
A. Students will purchase a marching band T-shirt, which will serve as our uniform ($10.00). The same shirt will be used in both 7th and 8th grade. Non-percussion students will also need to purchase a lyre/flip folder to hold marching band music (approximately $12 or less depending on instrument).
